Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing seldon.islandai.io, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

Seldon is a meaning-custody enforcement kernel. The public playground at seldon.islandai.io provides a demonstration environment where users can:

  • Select pre-defined industries, verticals, device stacks, and scenarios from a versioned catalog.
  • Execute scenarios against a sandboxed Seldon kernel instance.
  • Visualize token flow, policy decisions, and ledger chain integrity.
  • Download canonical JSON evidence bundles for completed runs.

3. Demonstration Only

The playground is a demonstration environment. It is not a production system. Results produced by the playground are for evaluation and educational purposes only. Do not rely on playground outputs for production decisions, compliance filings, or audit evidence.

4. No Warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. Playground sessions may be terminated or reset at any time without notice.

5. Usage Limits

To ensure fair access, the playground enforces the following limits:

  • Maximum 10 runs per session.
  • Sessions expire after 1 hour.
  • Maximum 50 concurrent sessions globally.
  • One concurrent run per session.

Automated or programmatic access beyond normal browser use is not permitted without prior written authorization.

6. Intellectual Property

The Seldon kernel, its specification, catalog definitions, and scenario library are the intellectual property of Modehuis, operating through IslandAI.

The core Seldon technology is released under open-source licenses (Apache 2.0 / MIT) as specified in the project repository. The control harness and reporting layers are proprietary and licensed separately.

Run evidence bundles downloaded from the playground may be used freely for evaluation purposes. They may not be presented as production audit evidence or compliance artifacts.

7. Prohibited Use

  • Attempting to bypass rate limits or session controls.
  • Submitting data to the API beyond the defined selector inputs.
  • Reverse engineering the sandbox isolation mechanism.
  • Using the service to perform denial-of-service testing.
  • Misrepresenting playground outputs as production evidence.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Modehuis, IslandAI, or their affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
